when ems/dhl/etc. delivers package does courier call you before deliver?

when used ems I called them and insisted on call. So courier called me before delivery. perhaps you can do it with any service

first courier calls you. If no one answered he takes package to address you gave in order. And if there's no one to recieve pack courier takes it to nearest office and you have to get it yourself
