Gmail asking for phone number

I’m creating a gmail account in the name of a CC I’ve just bought but it’s asking for a phone number

I’ve tried using numbers from those free apps and websites but none of them work. Should I go and buy a cheap SIM card or would it be safe to use my own phone number?

Don’t use your own number as it’s a link to you, buy cheap sim and keep it in case you need to verify it infuture

It doesn't mean. you can use your number to verify it. though all depends on what u want to use gmail account for. gmail is entirely company and it's hard for them to disclose any of their customer information to 3rd party company. Unless, if u use gmail account to hack the world bank.
