Help with physical carding

I used to do this all the time but it's been years and I know I'm forgetting something. I have a physical card and I live in the same town as the cardholder. I got it turned on without any problem but didn't want the first transaction to be something like gift cards so I went to walmart.com and placed an order for a bag of dog food just to make sure the card would work and the first transaction wouldh't look sketchy. After entering the cardholders billing info and the updated shipping the card was still declined and I don't know what I did wrong. I was using a private browser, could that be the problem? I have another card now that I'm about to turn on but don't want the same problems and am really hoping to get cash from if someone can help me figure out how to do it without getting it declined I'd hella appreciate it.

first of all, you have to make sure the card is a credit card and not a debit card

how are you turning on these cards that isnt your own?
if you can turn the card using the bank app or smthing just accept a wire or money transfer find people who do that and cashout at atms
