Booking Hotels has never been this easy...
There is Booking.com, Expedia and Priceline. Of these, Priceline sticks out because they do not make the reservation directly. This is important for multiple reasons.
1. KEEPS YOU SAFE
2. MAKES CANCELLING HARD
3. EASIER TO CARD
1) Ensure you have not used the device to book with. If using a virtual computer, change the computer name and use a fresh machine. I keep a machine in deep freeze mode or snapshot it and change the name.
2) Go to Priceline, make sure it is not saying pick up where you left off. Make your reservation for 2 days tops. I've made them 2 weeks in advanced but try to make it as soon as possible.
3) Try to pick hotels like Holiday Inn, Extended Stay, Best Western, Hilton, or Sure Stay. Stay away from cheap motels
4) When choosing your room, make sure it says Non Refundable. On the last page, it should say total being charged today. If it says... Pay Later.. no Bueno
5) OK here is the magic... when entering the card information..
a) do not copy paste anything
b) use whatever name is going to be checked in as card holder name too.
c) do not spell the name exactly as is on the ID checking in.. (Jeremy should be spelled Jjermy)
d) everything else should match the card holder not the guest
6) Should of been step 1... NO VPN
if anything use socks5. I go to my local college and so it there so I don't even have to bother making a virtual machine. just NO VPN
7) CLICK Book and Pay.
That's it. If u want to confirm your reservation, call the hotel before going. If you get denied and it says choose another payment method, your going to have to use a new device. Otherwise it is just a bad card.
