you can call the bank and get balance and info about usage of the cc just by having a zip code. Make sure you use automatic service. Here are some with zip code:
make sure its credit not debit. only credit debit wont work:
BOA (fia), CHASE (and all banks they purchased) US BANK
If you call US bank make sure u put mute on. they have voice response system. If after you enter zip and they transfer you to representative than cc is no good.
chase: hard to copleate a call but you need to keep trying if card is no good the recording will tell you that its got reissued and you cant access this account cose of fraud. If card on hold, recording will ask for ssn and then for mmn.
BOA is tricky even if card is dead they will still give you the balance sometimes.
There are more. Also lots of banks will ask for just lust 4 of ssn. such as wells fargo.
