Truth About the Non VBV/MSC Cards Misconception in 2024
What is a NON VBV or NON MSC Card?
VBV stands for "Verified By Visa".
MSC stands for "MasterCard Secure Code".
But what is this all about?
For a long time the cards didn't had any otp, to make a purchase you would just insert the card info on checkout, click on buy and its done!
Obviously this facilitated fraud, banks and payment networks noticed it and created new cards with a extra security feature, VBV for visa cards and MSC to mastercard cards that required a otp to be sent to the card holder that needed to insert it at the moment of the purchase.
The NON VBV or NON MSC Cards are the ones that were made without this security feature.
So i Can Get a Non VBV Card, and Card Any Site and Cashout?
This the first thing newbies think and the fastest way to get scammed.
This a myth. This was true a long time ago, not now.
Non VBV cards exist only in 3rd world countries, there isn't a single bank in a modern nation that haven't implemented this feature on their cards, and in the countries that this happens online purchases are not made using cc's but bank transfers instead, a country that operates like this is Angola for example, all the cards are non vbv/msc and for this reason they are only used for physical stuff.
"Then i can buy vbv cards from those 3rd wold countries and get rich here!"
NO.
Let me explain why:
First of all we need to understand the differences from 2ds and 3ds payment gateways.
Im going to resume it but if you want a detailed explanation about gateways check this post ( Wait Until i Feel Good to Post)
Very shortly, 2ds gateways don't enforce otp and 3ds gateways do.
Similar to NON VBV but now for gateways instead of cards.
There are different 3ds gateways some allow the bypass of the otp when the result returned on the anti fraud check is above a certain value and others dont give a fuck and enforce otp used in every single purchase
Yes because there are some exceptions for specific transactions to not require a otp, like:
For some cards otp is bypassed for orders under 50$ or a similar amount.;
For some cards otp is bypassed after the anti fraud check comes back with really good score based on spending habit patterns (merchant, amount, ip, location etc);
(If this second option happens it means the gateway does not enforce 3d completely to every card but instead they flag suspicious transactions or transactions above a certain value determined by them, this is commonly mistaken with a "auto vbv card" that is something that does not exist, the gateway is the one doing the anti fraud evaluation not the card, this also explains why certain BINS bypass certain gateways, but notice that a card with the bin 123456 may bypass the otp in the gateway X and not on the gateway Y, this shows that the gateway X is a 3ds gateway that allows the anti fraud check result to bypass otp if the anti fraud check result is above a certain value. This does not mean the card is non vbv like a lot of people think)
So no, there are no NON VBV bins, this is not a correct name for it, there are instead bins that bypass the otp if you have a valid score in the anti fraud check and this only works in a gateway that allows the fraud check result to bypass the otp security measure. And this are a small percentage of the 3ds gateways available.
How can I differentiate the difference between the different 3d gateways type you mentioned?
This deserves a page to explain this in detail, so follow me to the next page.

"But BRO i have used a 3d gateway and a otp screen didn't appear! What you are saying is bullshit!"So what happens when a VBV card is used in a 2ds gateway?
The VBV function on the card is bypassed and the order goes through without a otp since the 2d gateway does not support it.
So what happens when a NON VBV card is used in a 2ds gateway?
The order goes through without a otp since neither the card or the gateway enforces a otp.
So what happens when a VBV card is used in a 3ds gateway?
You will be asked for a otp since both the card and the gateway enforce the otp use.
So what happens when a NON VBV card is used in a 3ds gateway?
The order won't go trough, the moment you insert the card information the gateway will refuse the card because they enforce the otp use and does not allow the use of any card without that security function.
On the same pop up screen that appears for you to insert the otp, it will appear a different message instead saying something similar to "This card cannot be used in this payment processor".
This is last paragraph is very important, this basically means that NON VBV cards exist but are completely useless since they can only be used in 2ds gateways and have the same effect has vbv cards.
