Differences between a 5-ish $ card and a 15-20-ish card?

Hey Guys,

I was wondering what are the diferrence between a low cost card and a high cost card?

I've been trying to card Stripe using these 3 - 5$ cards, and they always decline; I can sign up for Netflix or other services but can never get pass Stripe or other payment processors.
