Dose walmart kill my card ?

I was trying to card this amex card that i bought on briansclub. The checker show that it was valid. When i try that card on Walmart to card an egift, the card was declined. I went back to briansclub to recheck and this time the card was delcined with code 05. I can't even refund ?. Was it all my fault?
