After outlining the major issues with Njalla and explaining why you should avoid them, I will review bulletproof registrars as of 2025, discussing their advantages and disadvantages.
Offshore/Bulletproof domains from 25$ by Cnobin/BiZCN => https://bpname.cc/
Key Takeaways
Best Global Choice: Trustname — EU protection, 99.99% bulletproof, and legal resilience. Known for its strong privacy stance, English-speaking support, and abuse-resistant policies. It only acts under valid Estonian court orders and ignores DMCA and LegitScript complaints because it is not subject to US jurisdiction. Estonia is practically non-cooperative with US requests compared to other EU countries.
Best for Asia: Matbao — Strong local jurisdiction but limited to regional users.
For Maximum Anonymity: Njalla — but comes with ownership and transfer risks. Learn more >
Avoid: Overly abused registrars on Spamhaus’ list, such as NiceNIC, as they may harm your domain reputation and email deliverability.
In my ten years of managing projects for businesses in sensitive niches that demand strong privacy and legal resilience, I’ve learned that Njalla is no longer a reliable bulletproof domain registrar. Over time, better, more legally robust alternatives have emerged, and I recommend these.
The first part of my research focused on bulletproof domain registrars, I explained in detail why Njalla is not the place to go and that Tucows, not Njalla, decides what to do with domains that receive abuse reports. Although Njalla registers domain names in its own name, it doesn’t have control over abuse reports. No matter how much they boast, they cannot do anything when Tucows decides to suspend your domain. Njalla is only useful for spammy domains, PBN sites, or illegal domains that you don’t mind getting suspended or taken down.
No wonder your service was terminated. Their servers are located in Sweden, and no shell company will be able to protect you in this case, as the US and Sweden are close allies. Digital piracy is a violation of local law, and .se now requires validated contact information in accordance with the EU NIS2 directive. Besides, Njalla’s entire service revolves around paying with cryptocurrency and providing anonymity, not supporting law violations. No one wants to risk having their racks of servers seized by the FBI or other law enforcement agencies over 15 euros. Njalla is blameless in this situation, as their domains are under ICANN’s jurisdiction, along with Tucows, which is located in the US. Njalla is merely acting as an intermediary. For a privacy-focused business, this is not a strong long-term solution.
Njalla used to be a good service for porn, adult, torrent, video hosting, and DMCA domains in the past. However, many Blackhatworld members, as well as members of other communities like Reddit, Namepros, and DNSorum, have complained that Njalla now suspends their domains or causes them to lose control over their domains. Njal.la would be an excellent service if they owned a domain registrar. However, they do not, as ICANN rejected their application. Proceed with caution, especially if it is your money site or brand site, or if you have invested a hefty amount of money in marketing or developing that domain.
The following niches frequently opt for anonymous registrars:
1. Cannabis & CBD
Why: Cannabis businesses (especially in countries where it is partially or fully illegal) face legal and regulatory scrutiny. Anonymous registration helps avoid unwanted attention or domain seizures.
Examples: CBD e-commerce stores, marijuana seed banks, cannabis-related blogs or forums.
2. Online Pharmacies & Supplements
Why: Many operate in legally grey areas or across borders without proper local licenses. WHOIS anonymity is critical to avoid regulatory takedowns.
Examples: Generic drug websites, no-prescription pharmacies, peptide suppliers, weight-loss injection (e.g., semaglutide) sellers.
3. Adult Entertainment
Why: Adult websites, cam sites, and dating platforms often face stigma, fraud, or legal actions. Domain privacy protects operators’ identities.
Examples: Pornographic content sites, adult streaming, fetish communities.
4. Gambling, Betting & Casinos
Why: Online gambling is illegal or restricted in many countries. Operators use anonymous domain registrars to avoid being linked directly.
Examples: Online casinos, sports betting, poker websites.
5. Activist, Political, or Whistleblower Sites
Why: To protect owners from censorship, harassment, or political retaliation.
Examples: Wiki-style platforms, leak sites, opposition blogs.
6. Cryptocurrency & High-Risk Financial Projects
Why: Many crypto or DeFi projects want to separate real identities from the platform, especially during early stages or in case of regulatory uncertainty.
Examples: Crypto mixers, NFT marketplaces, unregulated exchanges.
7. Grey-Market or High-Risk E-commerce
Why: Businesses selling products that might violate IP or import/export laws often use anonymous registrars.
Examples: Replica products, IPTV resellers, nicotine, vaping products.
8. File-Sharing & Torrent Websites
Why: These sites are constantly targeted by copyright enforcement, so anonymous domains are essential.
Examples: Torrent indexers, streaming link directories.
9. Other Niches
Other online niches face high levels of scrutiny, censorship, or takedown attempts too, making bulletproof domain registration essential for their survival.
Hacking and cybersecurity blogs, even when publishing legal content like exploit research, are often flagged or misinterpreted, requiring enhanced privacy.
Political dissident content is frequently blocked or censored by authoritarian regimes through DNS-level takedowns.
IPTV and pirated streaming sites are aggressively targeted by copyright holders and broadcasting authorities.
Blackhat SEO operators and private blog networks (PBNs) rely on resilient infrastructure to support cloaking techniques and manipulative link schemes that violate search engine policies.
Doxing and leak sites host sensitive or controversial information, putting them at high risk of domain seizure.
Anonymous forums and imageboards (e.g., platforms similar to 8chan) often face deplatforming and are refused service by mainstream registrars.
Unlicensed forex and binary options platforms, frequently blacklisted by financial regulators, rely on anonymous and takedown-resistant domain services to remain online.
What Makes a Domain Registrar “Bulletproof”?
Ignores DMCA or only acts with verified court orders
Hosts content in friendly jurisdictions (e.g., Russia, Seychelles, Iceland, Northern Europe)
Accepts crypto, no KYC
Owns domains on behalf of clients (proxy ownership, like Trustname)
Bundled with bulletproof hosting, email, and DDoS protection
Now, let’s talk about the online pharmacy business — a prime example of a niche that often seeks bulletproof domain registrars. Fully compliant registrars such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, GKG.net, and PDR not only take action in response to LegitScript’s abuse notifications, but also proactively find and address illicit internet activities by detecting keywords such as Viagra, Marijuana, Medicines, ED Pills, Pharmacy, Care, Prescription Drugs, Ozempic, Ivermectin, and Weight Loss. If you’re looking for a reliable registrar for projects in the pharmaceutical niche or other areas such as phishing, fraud, pharma, drugs, carding, or scams, a USA-based registrar like Namecheap, GoDaddy, Network Solutions, or NameSilo will suspend your account immediately upon detection.
These registrars frequently place domains on clientHold status — a clear indicator that the domain has been suspended due to an abuse report. You can easily verify this by checking the WHOIS status of domains they manage.

So, stay away from the following:
NameBright, Namecheap, GoDaddy, Name.com, GKG.net, and Network Solutions (as a part of the Newfold Digital Group) — all US-based. Proof 1, Proof 2
1API, Domaindiscount24 (Germany)
Rebel Ltd. (Canada) (avoid as it randomly suspends domains)
Openprovider and Combell (Netherlands)
InternetBS (currently under German and British ownership)

It’s best to avoid the above domain registrars, as they are not considered bulletproof.

Pro Tip: Choose a registrar that’s at least “90% bulletproof” — or better yet, 99.99%, such as Trustname registrar from Estonia — and you’ll never have to worry again. Estonia is practically non-cooperative with US requests compared to other EU countries.
Are there any reliable services for non-US offshore registrars in Asia? Unfortunately, there are not many options out there for reliable domain proof. Only a handful of TLD and domain registrars can protect you from abuse. To make it easier for you to understand, I am going to split them into three categories. Now, let’s dive in!
50% bulletproof (ideal for soft projects, such as a health blog promoting Rx, generic prescription drugs)
After reading the terms of service, I recommend EasyDNS for “soft projects.” They are currently the registrar for ThePirateBay (proof). It’s a decent registrar that won’t shut you down without a valid court order from Canada. It will also protect you from DMCA complaints. However, it only works with .org domains. Therefore, they cannot protect you against abuses for any .com or .net domain. A domain registrar can only take down your domain if the claiming party has a Canadian court order. EasyDNS charges $15.50 for .org domains, $7.50 for privacy, and a $0.20 ICANN fee, for a total of $23 per domain.
NameSilo is another reliable registrar that takes 48 hours to transfer a domain in case of abuse. However, it is located in the USA, so the outcome of a transfer depends on the temperament of the support employee. They do not deal with DMCA abuses if the domain is only registered with them. They will ask you to contact your web host. However, if you host a site with NameSilo, they will deal with DMCA, so proceed with caution. It is not recommended for other gray stuff.
The problem with these registrars is that you’re “safe” until they receive an objection, at which point they transfer the domain to another registrar. It all depends on the support team’s mood. It’s like playing a 50/50 roulette game.
Tip: Avoid working with registrars that sponsor domain registrations flagged by Spamhaus for malicious activity. Using such registrars can put you under scrutiny, harm your domain reputation, and negatively impact email deliverability. Stick to reputable registrars and steer clear of the ones on this list (avoid the top 10).
90% Bulletproof Registrars (good only for DMCA complaints)
1. There are a few other reliable registrars and resellers that I’ve used in the past for secure domain registration. They do not suspend domains or take action on general DMCA or spam complaints (although they may request that you transfer to a different registrar if the complaint is particularly serious). Try some China-based registrars to be on the safer side, like:
dnspod
AfterNIC
Bpw.sc
now.top
ourdomain.com
biz.cn
Todaynic
Eranet (resellers from the Chinese Register).
These registrars tend to ignore minor DMCA complaints, but they will most likely take action if a significant complaint is filed. They don’t consider the DMCA or copyrighted material important unless it’s Chinese-based.
2. If you’re concerned about privacy, register with Epik and pay with cryptocurrency. Epik is a reliable registrar that prioritizes privacy. Epik.com offers domains that support free speech. I have several porn domains registered there. Last year, I received three DMCA notices and was asked to respond within 48 hours. I removed the content, and everything was resolved.
3. Subreg.cz/Gransy: These are also good EU-based registrars that offer offshore domain registration in the Czech Republic. They are pretty safe. I have one of my domains registered with them, and I feel confident about the privacy and security.
4. Another notable domain registrar is Shinjiru, which is based in Malaysia. They do not take down domains based on DMCA notices, but they will act if they receive a complaint from the Malaysian authorities.
5. iLoveWWW.com (Shinjiru Reseller): This is another good registrar that operates offshore in Malaysia. They don’t even respond to DMCA or abuse emails.
6. The-Online.com: They are a WWD reseller in Europe. They do not take action such as domain suspension or deletion. They just forward DMCA/abuse notices to you if anyone contacts them. Their prices vary. For example, a .com costs $11/year, and a bulletproof registration of a .com costs around $30/year.
Like all other registrars, The-Online.com lists DMCA in their TOS/agreements. However, they always forward abuse notifications to my email address. I’ve never replied to or removed any DMCA content received via The-Online.com, and I’ve never seen them take action, such as suspending or terminating domains. I only remove content or act on it if I receive a DMCA notice from my web host.
7. PSI-USA: A great registrar and reseller of spammy domains. They offer both TLDs and gTLDs. Registrations of registered domain names under a request processed by the provider are for an initial period of twelve (12) months, unless otherwise agreed upon by the provider.
8. MediaOn: They are an offshore hosting and domain reseller. They charge $22/year for .com domains. They offer free virtual office services. You can use three addresses. All virtual office addresses include a prestigious business address in Turkey, Israel, or the USA. You can use your virtual business address on your business cards, letterhead, and marketing materials. The mail receiving service scans your mail into a PDF document that you can view online in your MediaOn customer panel.
9. Ourdomain.com: Based in Hong Kong. It is quite safe. Ourdomains Limited is an ICANN and CNNIC accredited registrar established on April 28, 2011, in Hong Kong as a wholly owned subsidiary of Hangzhou AiMing Network Co., Ltd.
Hangzhou Aiming Network Co., Ltd., the parent company of Ourdomains Limited, is a well-known domain name registrar in China. It manages approximately one million domain names, including gTLDs and ccTLDs, and has many years of experience in the domain name industry, as well as strong technical support.
The good news is that most registrars from the list above require a valid court order to take down a .org, .com, or .net domain. They typically do not act on a DMCA complaint.
99% Bulletproof Registrars
Are you looking to violate copyright and related rights on an industrial scale? Push rogue pharmacies and gambling? Adult industry and scams? Plan other questionable activities? Then this is for you. Copyright violations are often overlooked, and data is only released by the decision of a local court. No one will go to a Swedish, Vietnamese or Russian court in the current political climate.
r01.ru: They are a good “bulletproof domain.” No ID or passport is required. They don’t ask for any personal information, either.
Reg.ru: It’s great and supports pharma and illegal projects, especially. Unfortunately, they do not accept cryptocurrency, and a Russian credit card is required. Due to the current ban on Russia by Visa and Mastercard, international credit cards are not supported because of US and EU sanctions. The only good thing is that you don’t need an ID to create an account, but you do need a local payment option.
nic.ru: It’s a good idea, too, but they may ask you to show your Russian ID or passport. Otherwise, you will be asked to leave. According to Hosting Pulse, it is the leading hosting provider. It has distributed, fault-tolerant infrastructure. The servers are equipped with SSDs and the latest versions of software, as well as a dedicated control panel.
NameISP (Sweden): I found another very good offshore registrar, which a BHW member personally recommends. Name ISPs are ICANN-accredited registrars that register all of the world’s top-level domains directly through their websites. They also offer Premium DNS and Domain Management for those who want to consolidate their sensitive domains in one place. They have many active pharmacy domains.
Other options in Asia include DNSpod, Z.com, and WebNIC.
Offshore Hosting
When it comes to offshore hosting, consider the following:
1984.hosting: The 1984 Hosting Company was founded in 2006 by a pair of free software and civil rights enthusiasts. 1984 Hosting Company will always inform customers of any inquiries from authorities, lawyers, or courts into their affairs of which they become aware. The 1984 Hosting Company was founded with the goal of contributing responsibly and ethically to the online community.
prq.se, cheapprivacy.ru, xuid.ru, 2x4.ru, Flokinet
Finally, Top 3 — 99.99% Bulletfroof Registrars
Matbao is one of my favorites because they address abuse appropriately and encourage the complainant to take it to the local court. However, it requires some effort on your part. You will need a friend in Vietnam, but you can easily find one on Fiverr. Then, you will need to provide a valid Vietnamese ID and a Vietnamese credit card for the top-up wallet. Once this is done, your domains will be safe forever. Matbao will only take down your domain with a valid court order from Vietnam. The downside? Their support staff only speaks Vietnamese, but you can use Google Translate to communicate with them easily.

Matbao requiored a valid court order from Vietnam to take action against a domain
Another excellent registrar is Trustname. It has a strong reputation and is well-regarded for its abuse-resistant policies and responsive English-speaking support team. Although Trustname is based in Europe, it operates strictly under court orders from Estonia, a small EU country located between Sweden and Russia. Formerly part of the Soviet Union and now an EU member, Estonia is known for its robust free speech laws, making it one of the most favorable jurisdictions for online businesses and for registering a domain for your dark project.
Trustname is a nearly 100% bulletproof service for moral and nearly legal projects.

Trustname is the Best Bulletproof Domain Registrar as of 2025
They accept crypto and international credit cards, provide friendly support, and give you 30 days to transfer your domain to another registrar in cases of severe abuse, such as child exploitation or illegal opioid-related content. Other projects — including online pharmacies, gambling and casino, torrents, video streaming services, medical cannabis, weed dispensary, steroids, adult, and xxx content — are generally accepted. It also offers affordable, anonymous offshore ccTLDs, such as .to, .co, and .su, which provide excellent privacy protection and complete anonymity.
Another good alternative is NameBase — Sci-Hub has already used this.
A 100% bulletproof domain registrar is a myth. For truly secure and censorship-resistant domain registration, consider either:
Using a privacy-focused registrar, such as Trustname, or
Registering a ccTLD such as .co, .su, .to, or .hk.
If you require a .com or another gTLD, your best option is to choose a non‑U.S. or offshore registrar that meets two key criteria:
Local court order requirement — Registrars, such as Trustname or Matbao, will only act on valid local court orders, ensuring strong legal protection.
Flexible transfer policy — Friendly support that allows domain transfers even within the standard 60‑day lock period, a common practice among reputable offshore registrars.
Final Thoughts
While the whole world has recently been vaccinated and engaged in anti-vax, pro-vax war nonsense, governments around the world started pushing laws invading your right to privacy and regulating lots of stuff in plain sight without raising any suspicion. Not many people even noticed or knew the fact because media only talked about new deaths and new “mutations”. The smoke bomb (COVID) was successful and allowed governments around the world to freely regulate whatever they wanted and change the laws as they wanted.
You can avoid the limitations often associated with Njalla and still achieve 99.99% bulletproof domain protection by choosing Trustname — one of the highest‑rated registrars in 2025 for privacy, reliability, and abuse‑resistant policies.

This is Why Trustname Is a Safe Haven for Domains
P.S. I also work with another small registrar that is extremely reliable and based in a third-world country. It’s user-friendly, doesn’t require local ID, and accepts both cryptocurrency and credit card payments.
Unfortunately, I can’t share it publicly because exposing it would invite abuse and ruin its reputation. This solution isn’t for everyone; it only makes sense if your business has a monthly turnover of at least $50K.
If you're looking for a real 100% bulletproof solution, email me at [email protected] — I’ll share the exact registrar where I park my most profitable domains.
